I Bob Martin, the owner of WowPhilippines.com, an American who has lived here in the Philippines since the year 2000. Originally, I lived in General Santos City, but now live in Davao City on the Island of Mindanao. My wife, a Filipina who lived with me in the United States for the first 10 years of our marriage, is originally from the area near General Santos City.
The roots of WowPhilippines began in mid-2000. While living in General Santos, I would sometimes have people e-mail me asking if I could deliver a gift to their loved ones in the area. I agreed to do it as a favor, and it just grew from there. Soon, I opened up a gift service for General Santos City on my website, and after 6 months or so, I expanded it to serve all of Mindanao. By 2002, I decided I wanted to offer the service for deliveries anywhere in the Philippines, and WowPhilippines was born!
Like any business, things started out slow, but kept growing, and today we delivery many gifts every day around the Philippines through our network of couriers and delivery agents posted in different cities in the country. Our number one goal is to offer the best in customer service for our customers, and I feel that is why we have a very loyal base of customers. When a new customer shops with us, it is rare that they ever leave and go to another company to buy gifts for delivery here in the Philippines. We do everything we feel possible to assist our customers and make sure their orders are handled professionally, and with that extra little "personal touch" that they have come to expect.
