Note from Bob Martin

I am Bob Martin, the owner of WowPhilippines. We have a relatively new employee here to serve our customers and make sue that orders are handled efficiently and properly. Generally, it is June’s job to make sure that our customers have a great experience when they visit WowPhilippines. I recently asked June to write an article explaining why she enjoyed working at WowPhilippines, and I thought I’d share it with you! As a customer, you should know a little about the people who are here to serve you! Enjoy!

Money. Growing up in a middle-class family, I can say that money really matters. Well, honestly speaking that’s what I am thinking for the past few years because it is really money that makes us survive in this tough world.

Things changed when I actually started working. My first work experience is at WowPhilippines. I had a summer job to earn extra income while it was still summer vacation. The main reason why I looked for a job is really because of money because frankly saying, earning money during vacation would surely be of great help to our family.

I was feeling really excited on the first days of my job because finally, I would be able to work. It seems like working looks really simple to me for as long as I know I will earn money. Then suddenly, I felt so wrong about it. Working is not just simply working but it is also trying your best to excel in something and make your work more meaningful.

I guess feeling tired and exhausted at times will always be part of every person’s working experience but I can surely say that there is such joy that we feel if we feel committed and passionate about the things that we do and that’s when joy comes into our hearts.

Honestly saying, working at WowPhilippines doesn’t make me feel that I am actually working. It just seems like I was just going out of my comfort zone and extending my scope of family. Maybe that’s what makes me more happy about my work experience. It is always a good thing knowing that the nature of your work will never give more hassle and pressure to you because you are surrounded by people who you can call your family.

I was not just working but having fun as well. My bosses never made me feel lost and uncomfortable. I made friends with the other people in the office and I was even able to share some thoughts with them most especially with my bosses. I felt so happy and blessed because I know I am in good hands. I am honestly fascinated with my work right now because it is also like I am exploring myself. I was able to discover new things in myself and it is something that I should be confident about. Well that was what my bosses told me actually and that’s another thing that makes me happy because I know that there are people that somehow guides me.

Most people say that working is such a hassle and that it is giving them too much stress. Well, that is maybe because they didn’t find real pleasure on the things that they are actually doing. It would be of great help if you choose those things that you really want and truly pleases you because that is where complete joy comes.

Moreover, it is always best that you learn while earning money. My work experience at WowPhilippines taught me that life might be tough and hard at times but it feels so good that we have learned something from those experiences. Just be confident with yourself and don’t be afraid to try because failures will always be part of success.

The best thing that I like about working at WowPhilippines is that I am constantly learning from the things that I do every day and is that I was also able to know myself better, I must say.
